I just cant get over and believe how evil and out of control a human can be ;; we shouldnt even call him human

Joke is he had the CHEEK i repeat CHEEK to call katie the night before and say that he'd got a present for her that would change her life forever.
who would do that !

Basically to cut the story short ,,
Evil Danny Lynch had already brutally RAPED Katie, kept her a PRISONER and BATTERED her before he decided he wanted to spoil her beauty forever - and sent a henchman to hurl SULPHURIC ACID in her face.

The acid caused third degree burns to Katie's face, neck, chest, upper arms, wrists and hands and left her blind in one eye. It also caused severe damage to her respiratory system when she swallowed acid while screaming.

She needed more than 30 operations just for her nostirls and gullets and also needed to wear a mask 23 hours a day .

Katie quotes ;; Although I have been scarred for life I am extremely happy with my new beautiful face," she says. "I look at old pictures of myself now and see her as a girl I spent loads of time with," says Katie. "It's like she was a best friend I'll never see again.

"But I am happy now. I laugh and smile every day. And thanks to the wonderful people around me I am going to be OK."

Personally i think she is one of the bravest woman ive heard about . Seriously come on Beauty is like a girls best friend ,, how many girls do you know walk past a mirror without having a look at their face ? For her to look at the mirror and see a face that has changed completely and which brings back the past is beyond brave ! we should be grateful for what we have and consider those who have gone through times like this.

What i Learnt Today :)

There are three main media platforms which are :

Broadcasting: is basically sending out contents of TV and radio to a large number of people. there are 6 major broadcasters in the UK which are ;; BBC, ITV, CHANNEL 4 , FIVE, BSKYB, VIRGIN MEDIA. most of these broadcasting institutions have a presence in other media platforms which is called a synergy . For instance the BBC have 8 national TV channels and 10 national radio stations && 40 local radio stations !

Print: is basically producing a content ; copy and images using ink or paper. News papers are published at least once a week their are approximately 680 newspapers in the UK ;; 290 are free and 390 are paid for !!! hear this most newspapers are owned by the same institution for instance News International owns the times, Sunday times , the Sun, and the London paper.

E-Media: the world wide web , internet and other platforms. the internet is the newest form of media communication and the also the most fastest use of communication. the internet is growing rapidly as their are more people using the internet and the improvement of technology.

For example not long ago all you could with a phone is answer calls now phones can text,send pictures,receive news, advertise and navigate directions . Not yet does any one own or control the internet !

Jedward the nations most annoyin but yet entertaning twins on the xafctor !

arghhh ! mee personally i cant stand them yes they may be entertaning in some way buh i jus cant c it .. im not hating on them or anything because they blaitently have a wide majority of people voting for them and absolutely adore them butt the question iss ... WHAT IS IT THAT PEOPLE REALLY LOVE ABOUT JEDWARD ? i knoee for sure its not their singing

HAVE YOU REALISED THAT AS SOON A SIMON CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT THE TWINS THE PUBLIC NOW SEEM TO HAVE LESS HATE FOR THEM !

The reason why i say this as on facebook every week since x-factor has started people are insulting the twins over and over again also renaming the x-factor as fixed-factor some even said that they will never watch x-factor again if jedward continue to stay on the x factor. However as soon as Simon said that he actually enjoyed them he also had them go into dead lock between them and Lucie (which was a shock) as they are great entertainers. Funnily enough straight after that nights show less people were insulting the twins but actually praising them .

On sunday nights show simon admitted that he'd ''probably'' rather watch jeward again rather than watch Lucie but on saturday night show he claimed that ''we all know by now that you actully cant sing but that was actually a good song choic for you two'' . This is came as a suprise to most members of the public as Simon was known to actually hate jedward as they are annoying and can not sing what so ever . The majority of people threatened to boycott x factor and renamed the x factor as Fix - factor on thier Facebook and Twitter pages but the other half of the public actually did not see what the fuss is about !

Lets just say Simon was taken over by their performance of GHOSTBUSTERS !

well ... when i first got told to go on this blog i was thinking here we go this is going to be something really boring :(

But surprisingly it was actually really interesting :) :)

Wow....... its funny how most of our time is taken up the web . Everything we do nowadays has got to do with the web weather it was for research or entertainment we use the net at irrelevant time which makes it seem as if we are controlled by it ! weird right :)

Students View

As you can see from the video the students are holding up papers in relation to the internet, most of the students in the video are complaining about things that happen in a lecture room or better enough in their life as a student in uni ... ''18% of my teachers dont know my name'' to me that seems unfair but hey in a class of almost 200 students that understandable. Joke is many of the student use the web whilst in lectures not to study but to go on FACEBOOK ! :)

My media grade for last term was a D2 :s !
My target grade is a C3 !

Hmmm ...

Looking at the grades its not as bad as it seems as we have just started the media course and are now starting the big assignments. To know that i have started with good feedback is great as i am along the right tracks but just need to expand and go into detail on what i write on my work.

Three Targets i will set myself will have to be :

1. Come out of the box and explain in detail what message im trying to put across in my work
2. Secure myself in a safer lets say higher C .. i guess lol
   
3. Revise and learn key terms
   

✮✮My Media Adventure ✮✮

This is my first year of studying A level media - so far there has been no regrets :)

Its been a couple of months now since i started A level media. I have learnt many things in media such as the media platforms which are :

• representation: how something is REpresented and in what way and by who ?
  
• institutions: who owns and controls the media text?
  
• genre: what genre does the text fit into and does it follow the specific conventions of a genre?
  
• audience: who is the text addressed to and in what way does the text suit the audience?
  
• language: connotations and denotations, positioning of subjects and characters and iconography
  
• ideology: what are the assumptions and themes in the text ? are there any hidden meaning and values in the text?
  

I have also learnt how to analyze many media texts such as advertisements,films and video clips. we analyzed the following by using the key concepts (above) and how they make the specific media text unique .For instance in ideology people often have a set of values beliefs and ideas and example would be that people may complain that their wages are not enough to satisfy their needs however, they do not steal money from others or rob a bank in order to get money . As they already know the consequences of stealing which could lead to an arrest. People often use their beliefs as they know as part of the 10 commandments that you shall not steal. :)

The media institutions have the right for speech and can say whatever they please about any person and anything. The more audience the more media success therefore an institution will do whatever it takes them to get more audience and more money.

we also learnt about the the 3 media platforms which are e-media /internet), Broadcasting ( television programs) and Text ( newspapers and magazines) . Media platforms is basically the technology used in a way we consume the media.

Oh my days! Rupert Murdock ... i could do with all the money he had ;) lol

Basically he owns media outlets and is a shareholder ,chairman and managing director of New corp.

if it wasn't for him we wouldn't of had Sky television Genius :P In the early 2000's he became a leading investor in satellite television , the film industry and the internet.

Hear this Murdock is the 132nd richest person in the world !!!!!!

one last thing we done was created a collage that explores the relationship between genre and representation and the study of media. we did a 100 word supporting account that demonstartes all the key concept and platforms .

Currently studying Media which this blog is all about woohoo :) :)

when you first think of media you think of films and thats about it ! Media is really diverse and it's in our everyday life, we witness media happening whether its on tv, a billboard on our way home or when your flicking through a magazine.

So far media has been great , we have looked at many text such as posters, adverts, magazines and video clips and analyzed them in a way i would never have thought about when reading a magazine or watching a video clip.
