What i Learnt Today :)

There are three main media platforms which are :


Broadcasting: is basically sending out contents of TV and radio to a large number of people. there are 6 major broadcasters in the UK which are ;; BBC, ITV, CHANNEL 4 , FIVE, BSKYB, VIRGIN MEDIA. most of these broadcasting institutions have a presence in other media platforms which is called a synergy . For instance the BBC have 8 national TV channels and 10 national radio stations && 40 local radio stations !

Print: is basically producing a content ; copy and images using ink or paper. News papers are published at least once a week their are approximately 680 newspapers in the UK ;; 290 are free and 390 are paid for !!! hear this most newspapers are owned by the same institution for instance News International owns the times, Sunday times , the Sun, and the London paper.

E-Media: the world wide web , internet and other platforms. the internet is the newest form of media communication and the also the most fastest use of communication. the internet is growing rapidly as their are more people using the internet and the improvement of technology.
For example not long ago all you could with a phone is answer calls now phones can text,send pictures,receive news, advertise and navigate directions . Not yet does any one own or control the internet !
